Makov
The village is situated between the Beskydy mountains and the Turzovská Vrchovina highland, bordering with the Czech Republic. The territory of Makov is a part of the protected landscape area of Kysuce. Natural sights worth mentioning include an elm in U Papají locality and oaks in Trojačka locality. Examples of cultural monuments include Sts. Peter and Paul Church of 1803. The village boasts a number of chapels and belfries.

Turzovka
The town is the heart of the region of Horné Kysuce. Its is situated close to the Slovak-Polish-Czech frontier. The picture of the town is spectacularly complemented by a number of sights, including the baroque Rome-Catholic Church of Apparition of the Virgin Mary from 1759. In the town's park you can find the St. John Nepomucene column which is a national cultural monument.

Čadca
The town extends on the banks of the silver Kysuca river, surrounded by flat massifs of the Javorníky mountains and Slovenské Beskydy mountains. The town is the centre of Kysuce region where the Museum of Kysuce is situated.

Súľovské Skaly rock massif, Súľovský Castle, Hričovský Castle
The rock massif of Súľovské Skaly ranks among the most noteworthy natural localities of Slovakia; notable plant species and a variety of animal species have their habitats there.
Súľovský Castle, whose ruins are situated within Súľovské skaly, used to serve as a guard castle.
Ruins of Hričovský Castle can be found in the northernmost part of the Súľovské Vrchy highland.

Bytča
The town of Bytča, located in southwest of Slovakia, is a district centre. It extends mainly on the right bank of the Váh River, in Bytčianska Kotlina basin. You are invited to visit Bytčiansky Chateau, a renaissance mansion declared a national cultural monument.

Velké Karlovice
The village is situated on the Czech side of the border. You can visit the well-known Museum of Karlovice which depicts a picture of life in the region of Moravian Walachia. The village boasts a unique sight - a church built without a single nail.
The most notable one among natural sights is Karlovské Lake.
The village boasts a modernised swimming pool site; and a number of marked cycling and hiking trails are available in the surroundings in summer, as well as cross-country skiing trails in winter.

Rožnov pod Radhoštěm
The town is situated right in the heart of the Beskydy and Vestínske Vrchy highlands. Rožnov is the most beautiful town in Moravian Walachia. The open-air Museum of Walachia is located there which offers a unique opportunity to explore how Walachian people used to live in the old times. The museum is divided into three localities - Wooden Town, Walachian Village and Mill Valley. The Museum organises variety of cultural events, such as village fair festivals held during Christmas and Easter holidays and on some saint's days.

Pustevny, Radhošt
The memorial Radhošť mountain, the symbol of Moravian Walachia, is situated above Rožnov pod Radhoštěm. The starting point for ascent is Pustevny locality where historical wooden buildings designed by architect Dušan Jurkovič are located, referred to as "Maměnka" and "Libušín". The beautiful ridge trail with views of the panorama of the Beskydy mountains will lead you to the top of Radhošť where Sts. Cyril and Methodius Chapel from 1896 – 1898 is located, boasting a statue of the heralds of faith in front of the chapel. On the way to Radhošť you can stop at a statue of Radegast, the pagan god of hospitality, harvest and fertility.

The dominating feature of the town is its oldest historical building, Vsetínský Chateau with a museum exhibit display and various exhibitions. Also, an observatory can be found in the town.
